Hi Andrew
Is there a way to change the Colour of the QCADCAM Background in 3DView from Black to Another Colour?
I'm not using the view as intended I want to quickly get a perspective view of work on my screen...
I hope this makes sense..
Cheers
John

Hi John,
P.s.: Why is your example so much nicer than mine ....

Sorry, not that I know of ...John Hyslop wrote: ↑Fri Sep 30, 2022 1:52 amIs there a way to change the Colour of the QCADCAM Background in 3DView from Black to Another Colour?

What's about to use the Projection Tool instead? The Background would be your normal background color ...John Hyslop wrote: ↑Fri Sep 30, 2022 1:52 amI'm not using the view as intended I want to quickly get a perspective view of work on my screen...

Re: Change Colour of CAM 3D View Background
Hi Husky
Thanks for the prompt reply... yes I looked at that but I would prefer it to be perspective
rather than Isometric.. I know I'm being fussy but I have my reasons for doing this
Cheers
John

Re: Change Colour of CAM 3D View Background
The part is designed in QCAD, saved as 2D dxf, imported into a 3D CAD ... and then I changed the background.
Extruding would be the next step but ...

Re: Change Colour of CAM 3D View Background
John,
There are more options beside 'Isometric' projections.
And even a solution for projecting inclined/rotated planes: https://qcad.org/rsforum/viewtopic.php?f=47&t=5987
I'm not sure if the CAM 3D view is a vanishing point perspective, if that's what you're looking for.
That is also not the case for Perspective.gif in the example of Husky.
I know that my CNC driver CAM preview has such an option.
For illustration, one can always change the colors of the image itself.
One can even set 'black' as transparent color so that the background is the page or paper background.

CVH
