problemi con scala presentazione progetto

salve,

grazie e saluti

Please attache the dxf/dwg drawing to your post or if it is confidential nature send it to me via PM. I'll will then explain it step by step for you. Thanks.

Good morning and many thanks for you support.

Please find attached Qcad file.

I made an order 1, 2 and 3.

1 it is the right scale 1:100 where I should scale properely 2 and 3.

How can I do?

problem with 3 it is that quote are in meters and the mesurement are not right... because file was corverted from pdf to dwg

thank you very much

Hi,

Just a few remarks:
It is common to draw in real life measurements ... Scaling the printed view is the paper side of the story.

The drawing unit of the file is 'None'.
2 is in cm
3 should be scaled up by an average factor of 9,11 to be in cm.
But that will never be fully correct in both X and Y.

1 represents two A4 pages in cm.
To fit 2 and 3 on 1 they need to be scaled by factor 0,01 ...
But I would not do that, I would use a paper scale.
One of the reasons is that the dimensions are then in meters while other sizes in 2 are text in cm.
Beside that 3 is a textual mix of cm and meters.

Regards,
CVH

I agree.

How do you convert to 1:1?

How do you convert to 1:1?
It all depends on what measurements are convenient or on what is required or what is standard.
Common is 1:1 but there is no unit mentioned in that.
Engineers may use mm, your architect uses cm or meters, land-surveyors may use meters or kilometers ...

So first you need to decide on what the drawing unit is.
Now , let's assume cm.
Set the Drawing Preferences unit to cm.
2 is already in cm.
Scale 3 by selecting all, Modify .. scale and indicate a focus point (no copy, factor 9,11).
But as already mentioned, 3 is a textual mix of cm and meters.
You then need to edit the meters quotations or replace them by dimensions.

When we print 2 or 3 on an A4 then select a paper scale of 0,01 or 1:100 what is the same.
Lotto 5 ... Original quotation 6,93 (in m) or about 693cm (692,818293) will be printed 6,93 cm wide and thus in scale 1:100

It is all very similar when in mm or in meters.
The only thing that changes are the factors.

Once every textual quotation and/or dimension matches the drawing unit one can convert between units.
