Inserting a scale bar

Hi, I’m really am very new to all this I am trying to add a scale bar to a drawing that I need to submit for planning.
Is there an easy way to do this? HELP!

There is no tool in QCAD to create a scale bar.
However, you can open or insert DXF or DWG files in QCAD and there are plenty such files available online for download (free and non-free). A quick Google search for "scale bar dxf" lead me for example to this page:

This is just one of many sites where you can download DXF/DWG drawings.
