Nesting with pre-existing toolpathes

Post by cool.occd » Tue Jul 09, 2024 8:59 pm

Hello,

I have a plasma table and repeatedly cut several pieces (some with MANY holes) at once.

Would it be possible to create and save toolpathes (with various radii for entry) for each piece before nesting the pieces ?

There would be only the need to order the pieces depending of the nesting...

I think this feature could also be usefull to batch milling/engraving/...

No, this is not possible and we have currently no plans for such a feature.

The required procedure is to first draw the parts, then nest them and then create the toolpaths.

Aarrgh... too bad...

It would be very usefull when you need to reuse frequently the same parts and/or make many of the same part at once...

You sure that you can't keep the idea in some storage box somewhere ? :D
