I am an inventor and started with AutoCAD, but changed to FastCAD to improve speed (first in MS-DOS, later MS-Windows). After using that for many decades, I had to switch to something different, because FastCAD is not available for Linux. I tried LibreCAD and a few others, but are now for about 2 years a very satisfied user of QCAD.
