Asus Zenbook AMD Ryzen 5 3500U with Radeon Vega Mobile Gfx-generic x 4
Linux Mint 22.1 Cinnamon
Some while back I downloaded qcad-3.29.6-pro-linux-86_64.run to the above Asus Zenbook.
With a few minor tweaks it has performed exactly as it does in my Windows machine.
Recently I decided to upgrade, so downloaded qcad-3.32.4-pro-linux-qt5.14-x86_64.run.
Although the new file opens quickly and efficiently the content is garbled and unusable.
Not a great problem since I quickly reverted back to the earlier version which fired up correctly without hesitation.
However I would be interested to know if the problem I have experienced lies with my procedures (I'm still feeling my way with Linux), or if this is a known issue with the latest version of QCAD for Linux.

Most likely, you are opening the installer with a text editor. This will not work. You have to execute or run the installer instead:
